A/D Fire Resistive Thermal Insulation (R4/in)

A/D Thermal barrier is a wet applied Rockwool spray-on insulation used as an acoustic coating and fire proofing.

It is sprayed directly onto the exposed surface and usually left exposed. Used mainly as a fire proofing over flammable insulation, concrete and steel, it is also widely used as acoustic sound proofing in pools and auditoriums.

A/D insulation is a spray-on joint free application, providing a continuous blanket of insulation without thermal bridging through gaps and metal pins. Another advantage is that it doesn't require expensive studding to hold it in place. It is a perfect, inexpensive way to insulate walls and ceilings that will not be touched or disturbed.
